Along with instructor-led, hands-on workshops for Lync, we're offering the following opportunities to attend a PowerPoint presentation on Lync 2010 features. These presentations do NOT require pre-registration, walk-ins are welcome!
Microsoft Lync 2010 provides a single interface on your computer that unites voice communications, instant messaging, and audio/video conferencing all at once. In this 1.5-hour presentation, attendees will get an overview on the Lync 2010 interface, learn about presence (availability status), the use of contacts in a contact list, and how to find help resources. Voice and video features of Lync will be presented, including where to adjust audio settings, steps for making and receiving a phone call, a conference call, and a video call. Steps for transferring and forwarding calls and where to check for missed calls and voicemail messages will also be shown. Attendees will become familiar with the use of instant messages, sharing a desktop or program window, and sharing files using Lync. Finally, the integration between Microsoft Outlook 2010 and Lync will be explored, including the ease of communicating with others from within an email message or calendar event.
