Eligibility and Special Cases
This guide explains eligibility requirements and common edge cases for Adobe Creative Cloud licensing.
Who is Eligible?
Faculty and Staff Classifications
The following classifications are eligible:
- A, B, C, D – Faculty and Staff
- E – Extra Help
- U – Unpaid
- P – Postdoctoral
Student Classifications
- S – Student
- G – Graduate student or graduate employee
Student Employees
!!! warning "Student Employees" Student employees are not eligible for Staff licensing.
If Adobe is required for your job:
- Your department may purchase:
Adobe for Student Employee Personal Computer Use - This must be purchased using a CFOP
Consultants, Contractors, Affiliates, and Visiting Scholars
External users are not automatically eligible.
A request must be submitted by the sponsor to:
webstore@illinois.edu
Include:
- Name of the software requested
- Job description of the individual
- Business justification for access
Emeritus and Retired Faculty
Emeritus status alone does not provide eligibility.
Eligibility requires one of the following:
- A 0% appointment in Banner, or
- A department-sponsored Adobe license

New Employees
!!! note "Processing Time" New employee classifications can take up to 2 weeks to appear in WebStore systems.
If your classification is not yet available:
- You will not be able to claim or purchase software
- WebStore staff cannot expedite this process
If you believe there is an error, contact your Human Resources department to verify your employment status.

If you do not see an Adobe offer in WebStore:
- Confirm your classification
- Confirm you are logging into the correct campus
- Review the eligibility criteria above
