Get Creative Cloud

Follow the steps below to obtain your Adobe Creative Cloud license through the WebStore.


Start Here: Choose Your Situation

Select the option that best describes you:

  • Faculty or Staff
  • Student
  • Student Employee
  • Using a University-managed computer

Faculty & Staff

Get Your License

  1. Go to: https://webstore.illinois.edu
  2. Click Shop Personal Purchases
  3. If using a departmental CFOP → select Shop Unit Purchases
  4. Log in with your university credentials
  5. Search for Adobe
  6. Select:
    Adobe Creative Cloud for University Staff Enterprise Access
  7. Click Add to Cart and complete checkout

Your license will activate within ~2 hours


Students

Get Your License

  1. Go to: https://webstore.illinois.edu
  2. Click Shop Personal Purchases
  3. Log in with your university credentials
  4. Search for Adobe
  5. Select your campus offer:
  6. UIUC Students
  7. UIC Students
  8. UIS Students
  9. Add to cart and complete checkout

Your license will activate within ~2 hours

Student License Notes
  • Student licensing is funded separately by each campus
  • Availability may vary by campus and term
  • Contact your department for funding questions

Student Employees

!!! warning "Important Eligibility Information"

- Student employees are **not eligible** for Staff licensing  
- Use the **Student license** unless your department provides one

If Adobe is required for your job:

  • Your department may purchase:
    Adobe for Student Employee Personal Computer Use
  • This must be purchased by a unit using a CFOP

Ordering Notes (All Users)

  • Only one license per user is allowed
  • If you already have a license, you cannot order again
  • No separate Acrobat Pro license exists—Acrobat is included
Purchasing for Someone Else

If purchasing on behalf of another user:

  • Enter their name in the order notes
  • Submit the registration form in your confirmation email

After You Order

  • Your license activates within ~2 hours
  • You will receive:
  • Order confirmation
  • Email receipt
  • Keep your order number for support requests

Renewing Your License

  • Place a new order through the WebStore
  • Previous orders cannot be reused
  • After renewal:
  • Open the Creative Cloud app
  • Sign out and sign back in

Install and Use Adobe Apps

The WebStore provides the license only.
Apps must be installed separately.


Personal Computers

  • Download from: https://adobe.com
  • Or use the Creative Cloud Desktop App

University-Managed Computers

  • Apps may already be installed
  • Or available in the Software Center

!!! note You may see:

**"You don’t have access to manage apps"**  
This is normal for managed devices.

If apps are missing or not working: - Contact your IT support team

Refresh Your License

If Adobe apps are not recognizing your license:

  1. Open Creative Cloud Desktop App
  2. Sign out
  3. Sign back in
  4. Update apps if needed

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Older versions of Adobe apps may not reauthorize
  • Always update Acrobat and other apps
  • Restart the app after updates
